We stay in touch with SWAP students when they progress to university. Many are keen to share their experiences with others and, very enthusiastically, participate in our peer support volunteering programme. You can see below what this involves. If anything appeals to you, please just email us to let us know and we will do our best to put you in touch with a peer support volunteer (PSV).

Mentoring
You can request to be matched with a mentor. The mentors are all university studnts or recent graduates who did SWAP access programmes themsleves. For you this is an excellent opportunity to meet someone who has been there and done it. Their role is to provide you with encouragement, guidance and support that will help get you through your access programme and make the transition from college to university.

Watch the videos below to hear from mentors and mentees from previous years.

Facebook: SWAP East Peer Support Group
This is a forum for current, former and future SWAP East students to communicate with each other, ask and answer questions, share experiences and organise activities. Request to join here.

Campus tours
if you would like to be shown round a university campus, this can potentially be arranged. You could do this individually or as part of a group.

Got a question?
You might just have one or two very specific questions you want a PSV to answer. Let us know what they are and we can try and find the best person to answer them.
